Health and Safety

  • Health and Safety

WA Management provide bespoke external support from simply being a company’s competent person through to being an internal H&S Advisor. We are experienced management consultants who can work as a retained advisor through an annual fee or taken on to undertake a project. Whatever the requirement, WA Management can help deliver, maintain and drive health and safety within an organisation as proactive SSIP (Safety Systems in procurement) certified advisors. The following services can be undertaken, either as a one off, regular site audits or part of a retained bespoke service:

Company Premises and Site Audit

Safety Audits are a way to ensure your company is complying both with the law and the company’s H&S policy. WA Management can audit a company and deliver an action plan which will outline any aspects of the company’s management system or premises/site which need addressing. Practical cost effective safety controls are suggested to ensure a continued safe workplace.

Site Specific Method Statements & Risk Assessments

The Construction Design Management Regulations 2015 require a method statement and site specific risk assessment for all jobs in the construction & related industries, notifiable or not. More and more companies require assistance and guidance to ensure the paperwork is correct so they can get on site and concentrate on the job in hand. WA Management provide a flexible service which can range from providing method statement and risk assessment formats through to continued support where we compile the documents and submit them to the client.

Company H & S Policy & Risk Assessments

In all industries it is a legal requirement when a company has 5 or more staff to have a documented H&S Policy and to ensure all areas and jobs within the workplace are risk assessed and documented. This is both time consuming and often a daunting task. WA Management can set out a bespoke H&S Policy and undertake risks assessments for your existing or new business processes and premises, including a fire risk assessment. These can be reviewed on an ongoing basis or whenever you require due to changes in the organisation.

Health & Safety Advisor/Competent Person

Many organisations do not have the resources to have a full-time competent health and safety employee, so WA Management provide this service to companies of all sizes and industries. Competent person can either be a standalone service or as part of package which also covers the implementation and maintenance of a management system including a policy, risk assessments, auditing, training and 365 days a year health and safety advice. WA Management are certified competent consultants under the SSIP (Safety Systems in procurement) scheme and registered on the Occupational Safety and Health Consultants Register (OSHCR).
